Double Zero Wines

Park Avenue is happy to welcome Chris Hermann, founder of Double Zero 00 Winery.

Double Zero 00 was recently selected to participate in the 2018 Oregon Chardonnay Celebration at the Allison Inn on February 2018. The VGW “Very Good Chardonnay will be featured at that event.
See what Neil had to say about the VGW Chardonnay.

“Quickly becoming one of Oregon’s premium brands, 00 (Double Zero) is a producer to watch now, and get the wines before they become (more) allocated. Lea Lafon (daughter of the world-renowned Dominique Lafon in Meursault) has joined the likes of Cameron and Walter Scott with her premier release of this VGW (Very Good White) top-shelf Chardonnay.

It is reminiscent of Montrachet with its gorgeous weight and texture from clonal selection and grape quality, where oak is only a player in the nuances of this mind-melting Chardonnay. Fans of Lafon’s famous Meursaults will adore this wine. Add it to your collection while it’s still available at our store!”

Chris will be pouring the Chardonnay, as well as the Very Good Red. Last but certainly not least, we’ll be featuring the single vineyard Pinot Noir series. Extremely limited, each grape cluster is hand harvested and then immediately placed in an amphorae in between the vines.

Taste these extraordinary Oregon wines this Friday from 5:30 – 7:30pm.

Featured Wines:

2015 VGW Chardonnay
2015 VGR Pinot Noir
2015 Shea Pinot Noir
2015 Hyland Pinot Noir

Belle Pente Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2015

Willamette Valley, Oregon

 $25 bottle / $143 half case / $255 full case

It makes perfect sense almost half of the grapes in the Willamette Valley Pinot Noir are from the Belle Pente Estate vineyard in Yamhill-Carlton. Yamhill-Carlton vines concentrate the cherry flavors in the grape, creating a deeper, richer mouthfeel with an afternote of baking spices. When first opened cherry dominates the palate and over time the cranberry notes emerge. After a few months in the bottle, the earthy notes flourish and the fruit will mellow out. Grab some of this classic Yamhill-Carlton for your holiday meals, especially if you are going to serve salmon!  Enjoy over the next 4-5 years.
